about the collection:

the scraps series was born out of both the desire to be more sustainable in my practice, as well as a way to leave it up to chance and give up control, or most of it. what paint is left on my palette is never discarded, it is applied randomly to my “drop cloth.” And, over time, what remains is curated onto a set of stretchers or framed behind glass. A reminder that we can find the beauty in uncertainty, chaos, waste, and what would have been dismissed or discarded. my favorite collection to date, and one that will continue to grow and evolve.
